A Change in the Weather
Abbot Ridge Trail
Glacier NP
approx 4 km
about 1000 m elevation gained
soft trail
some rocks for fun
misty meadows
a tiny lake and small pools
hikers and a few pups
pikas
bring a leash
The trail is wide and smooth with great trees and plants...good for sniffing.
It wasn't long until the weather changed.
Cold and foggy with snow.
We stopped near the hut at the base of the cliff. The return trip was a bit slippery with lots of mud bogging.

Cabin time
A sunny day at the cabin is a time for resting, relaxing and soaking up some rays. When I'm tired of that, I can see what the humans have planned for fun.
Clearwater Lake Lookout
enroute to Easter Bluffs
Wells Gray PP
about 1 hour
lakeshore beaches for swimming
very few hikers
quirrels and birds
sniffing, high and low

Beachcombing
Diver's Bluff beach
Clearwater Lake,
Wells Gray PP
about 3hours of paddling, round trip
After a cooling dip, I enjoyed drying my fur. Dog-on-a-log.
With so many beaches, it was fun to stop and play in the driftwood.
1 paw up (I prefer to hike than paddle)
