Cabin Guests

There were presents for everyone, including me!

Cozy, comfy and loved. What more does a pup need?

I was out at the cabin with the humans. We planted a tree, put up the sparkly lights and got out the food. Before long the guests arrived. They helped us eat, played games, walked with the snowshoes and shared in the campfire fun. These activities happen when the snow comes. Humans seem to like it, and there is alwyas something in it for me.

snow time

The river is snuggled into it's bed, wrapped in a soft, fluffy white blanket.

The snowshoes are out.

The sparkly lights are up.

Time to snuggle into a blanket and cozy up to the fire.

Happy Snow Time to all my Friends!

Not a Canoe

Just when I thought I had experienced every form of human recreation
they stuffed me into my canoe get-up
plunked me onto a red plastic seat
and I found myself speeding
across the top of the water
wind, waves and noise.

This is not a canoe.

A Change in the Weather

Abbot Ridge Trail
Glacier NP

about 1000 m elevation gained

soft trail
some rocks for fun
misty meadows
a tiny lake and small pools
hikers and a few pups
pikas

The trail is wide and smooth with great trees and plants...good for sniffing.

It wasn't long until the weather changed.

Cold and foggy with snow.

We stopped near the hut at the base of the cliff. The return trip was a bit slippery with lots of mud bogging.

Cabin time

A sunny day at the cabin is a time for resting, relaxing and soaking up some rays. When I'm tired of that, I can see what the humans have planned for fun.

There were some fish swimming in the lake but I didn't get one. The bugs were bad. I had on some very fragrant dog friendly insect repellent so my poor naked belly was spared. We made it to the parking lot before the thunderstorm let loose with it's wicked light show.

There ain't no goats, there ain't no goats....

This falls is near the lake. The lake is where we had the picnic. The picnic is always good.
